Aldo's Coffee Company is a coffee roaster and café located in Greenport, NY. Founded in 1987, they have long been a Long Island staple for small-batch, fresh roasted coffee. In 2023, the founder retired and sold the business to new ownership. Many, especially the loyal long-term Greenport customers, were worried about the transition, fearing that new ownership would cause the café to lose it's charm, quality and craft. This mini-documentary explores that transition, and how the new ownership was not only maintain the quality and freshness of Aldo's famous coffee, but foster the important community that has grown inside of the café for decades.
