ABOUT US
We know what you’re thinking, and yes, we are together (engaged!) :) We met in college on a whim when Beckie was looking for someone who had an extra Sony battery and happened to stumble across another fellow video enthusiast who just so happened to own such a battery. We instantly clicked over our love of filmmaking, and worked on every project together in school. After college, we worked various jobs and freelance gigs in the filmmaking world, but we felt that something was missing. We felt that the industry had become obsessed with cutting corners and creating meaningless sound bites all for the chance of catching an algorithm, while sacrificing the soul and passion that had inspired us to pursue filmmaking in the first place. Furthermore, we felt that there were so many stories that weren’t being told, simply because they weren’t the current “trend.” So, we decided to start Kojo Films, with a mission of bringing authentic stories, from anywhere, to everyone. To this day, we remain loyal to the idea that everyone has a story to tell, and we strive to tell each one in the most authentic, passionate way. Together we run the company, working with a talented team of freelancers to bring every idea to life.
